PAUL HARTLEY APPOINTED ONE MOTORSPORT SPORTING DIRECTOR

One Motorsport is delighted to announce that, ahead of the team’s return to the Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship, Paul Hartley has been appointed Sporting Director. 

Paul will work directly with Team Owner Steve Dudman, while also leading the squad on both race weekends at the track and on a day-to-day basis at One Motorsport’s Brackley base. 

Beginning his career in the UK’s premier motorsport series with multiple champions Triple Eight Race Engineering, Paul joined the team almost a decade ago as Chief Mechanic. 

Following a number of years taking on more responsibilities, Paul was appointed as Team Manager in 2022 – a role he held for two seasons before stepping away to embark on a new challenge in Formula E with Mahindra Racing. 

Now returning to the team in a more senior role, Paul will be one of the driving forces as the former Independent title-winners seek to race their way back to the front of the field.

“I’ve effectively grown up in the BTCC and developed my skills over a number of years in the paddock, so being able to return – and in such a senior role – is something I’m proud of. I’ve got to say a big thank you to Steve Dudman for the opportunity.”

He has been an integral part of the team since he very first joined us and this new role will allow him to play a critical role in not only our return, but also the coming years of a planned success.

“Knowing that we were coming back to the BTCC, I knew that it would be critical to have someone of Paul’s experience, ability and qualities – so I’m naturally so pleased  that he has agreed to return ‘home’. 

“With Paul shaping how we operate on both a day-to-day basis and on race weekends, I’ve no doubt that we will reap the rewards of his and everyone’s, unrelenting hard work on-track this year.”
